Vestibule Exception

​Following the ASHRAE/ES Standard 90.1-2019 and the IECC, air curtains can now be used an exception to vestibules. With retail space being at a premium, this frees considerable, and costly, space that would have once been taken up by a vestibule. For new construction, or retrofit design, shop and retail owners are able to forgo vestibules, which can be replaced by air curtains.

The CHA can be used as an exception to vestibules while remaining out of site and tucked away in the ceiling.
