AAON air handling units are engineered for performance, flexibility, and serviceability. Double wall rigid polyurethane foam insulated cabinet construction and direct drive backward curved plenum fans allow units to have quiet, energy efficient airflow with high static pressure capabilities. The air handling units can be matched with AAON condensing units or an AAON chiller for a complete system.

Condensers and Condensing Units
AAON Condensers & Condensing Units are engineered to be energy efficient, long lasting, and easy to install. All condensing units are completely factory assembled, piped, wired, and run tested. Many available options are factory installed to minimize field installation time and reduce costs.
Chillers & Outdoor Mechanical Rooms
AAON chillers are engineered for performance and serviceability. Variable capacity compressors and high efficiency air-cooled and evaporative-cooled condensing are available to maximize performance. Factory engineered and installed chilled water pumping packages complete the system. Factory installed controls arrive ready for operation. AAON chiller outdoor mechanical rooms feature weatherproof double wall rigid polyurethane foam panel construction with lighted walk-in service compartments to allow maximum accessibility while installing and maintaining the equipment. A boiler and boiler pumping package can also be factory installed in the outdoor mechanical room.
AAON self-contained units are engineered for high performance and energy efficient full and part load operation. Variable capacity scroll compressors, variable speed direct drive backward curved plenum supply fans, double wall rigid polyurethane foam insulated cabinet construction and optional heat pump configuration provide the unit with unmatched performance.
Packaged Rooftop Units
AAON rooftop units are engineered for performance, flexibility, and serviceability. Double wall rigid polyurethane foam insulated cabinet construction and direct drive backward curved plenum fans allow the units to have quiet, energy efficient airflow with high static pressure capabilities. The lockable hinged doors provide easy access to all sections of the unit for servicing.
Air-Source Heat Pumps
AAON air-source heat pumps can provide energy efficient cooling and heating using the unit’s refrigeration circuit. Reversing the flow of the unit’s refrigeration circuits allows the indoor coil to be used as a heating coil. This is a more efficient method of heating than electric resistance heating because a heat pump can reject more heat to the space per the amount of energy used. Thus, the operating costs of heat pump heating are always less than the operating costs of electric resistance heating. Heat pump heating is also a more efficient method of heating than gas heating and, depending on the cost of electricity and natural gas or propane, heat pump heating can have less operating costs than gas heating.

For over 15 years AAON has manufactured Water-Source Heat Pump (WSHP) Rooftop Units, Vertical Self-Contained Units, and Modular Air Handling Units with capacities ranging from 2-230 tons. AAON offers all of these units with mass customization or the ability to configure the features and options of the unit at the factory to meet nearly any application’s requirements. These products may be used as Makeup Air ventilation units, Variable Air Volume (VAV) units, or Single Zone VAV units with variable capacity cooling and variable speed supply fans.
